We enjoyed staying at Island Pearl resort for our vacation. It was peaceful
with minimal noise. We loved the porch and being able to sit and look
at the waves so close. The house had everything that we needed. The grounds
were beautiful and well kept. It was a little oasis under the palm trees.
Your new blinds made it much cozier and island - like. You and Pascal
have been helpful and considerate. Sorry about all the mess with the boxes;
next time 'ill know to mail earlier or send them on the plane with us!
Everything worked out as it always does! The housekeeping staff and grounds
keeper were very friendly and helpful. We felt at home here and that makes
a vacation great. Hope to see you all again on our next visit to Roatan!

We are staying on the West End at the Polo Galindo Clinic and wanted a

Pearl. I loved lying in bed and ejoying the beautifully designed and decorated
room. Everything - grounds as well as unit- as elegant in an island way,
with an island feel. Perhaps we can return when the water is calm, to
snorkel.

Dear Lainie, Pascal, Olivier and Emilie, Thank you so much for sharing
your beautiful spot on the beach with us. Having not ever been here, we
count ourselves very fortunate to have chosen the best place on West Bay
by far! To have the aqua blue ocean just a few feet away was incredible,
the grounds are beautiful, and the house lovely. We loved sitting on the
verandah and watching the ocean and there were hardly any bugs! Thank
you for making us feel so at home and don't worry about the construction
noise it was no big deal at all. Take care of your delightful beautiful
children and we'll be back to see you someday.
The diving on the different reefs was fantastic and the dive shop you
work with was very accommodating, fun and personable. We hope to return
the non "rainy season" to enjoy the diving even more... Bryon

Dear Lainie, Pascal, Olivier and Emilie. We are very sad to be leaving
our green oasis at Roatan. We have travelled the island and have learned
that we have chosen the best beach and the best hotel on the island. We
are particularly attached to our verandah where we have eaten every meal,
had our glasses of wine before dinner and enjoyed the sound of the wind,
and lazed the time away. Your beach houses are exceptionally beautiful.
We have loved our snorkeling experiences. Both on the West Bay reef and
at other locations. The best bonus is watching the rays feed just 100
yards out from the beach in front of Island Pearl (Dawn and Dusk) Thank
you liliana for your kindness and good humour at our poor spanish. Thankfully
we both could communicate in Italian. We are going to back to winter but
our dreams will be of turquoise seas and green palms (and maybe even Italians)

Awakening each morning to the gentle lapping waves on the turquoise sea
was pure paradise. You have the most beautiful spot on the West Bay Beach.
Snorkeling on the reef in front of the Island Pearl is breathtaking. It's
a short swim to the reef where many schools of fish abound in the clear
crystalline waters. Thank you so much for the artful decoration of the
house and landscape. The superb ceramic artistry in the house delighted
us daily. As divers the proximity to the Padi dive center next door was
incredibly convienent. We enjoyed our chats with you both and felt very
welcome - and of course meeting Emilie and Olivier was the highlight.
On West Bay Beach in Roatan, there are no bad days! We will return thank
you.

After walking up and down the beach over the past week we can confirm
that this is the nicest spot on the island!!! Your attention to detail
in the houses and the beautiful grounds differentiate you from the rest.
When looking at the internet is is always difficult to know if a place
will be "perfect" we found it here at Island Pearl. We know
that the construction has been frustrating to you but we can honestly
say that is didn't put a damper on our vacation in the least! We wish

- very healthy intact reef
- our construction "wake up call"

- not ever wearing shoes
- and of course the salva vida! and the monkey la Las (we had to say it
twice the coctail kind)

was very nice and so was the young girl who also helped. The chair situation
was o.k. We had been out snorkeling and when we came back, he had rented
the chairs, but he handled it o.k.
Our daughter and her husband loved your place. We hope to
go back one day. The Island Pearl is so quaint and so much more relaxing
than those new places that are being built. We are giving information
about your place to our travel agent here in Mexico. She had heard about
Roatan, but did not have a lot of information.

We're leaving tomorrow and as I write Lindsy is doing our dishes. We cooked
a lot while we were here and had the pleasure of making a tastey breakfast
for on another every morning - and then venturing out for what became
our morning snorkel. There is so much to see in the waters near here -
from octopus (this morning) to shrimp to barracuda and (Lindsy's favorite)
the angel fish.
The quiet of the cabanas was ideal for the kind of soft, sometimes well
often-soothing conversations we had while down here. This week was our
honeymoon and coming so far from southern California for the kind of peace
we found here reminded us of just how important it is to take a walk outside
and listen forsounds other than car horns and traffic. The quiet flutter
of the occasional mosquito in our cabana -while bothersome and distracting,
was also a small tap on ourselves telling us not to forget the rest of
nature that disappears so quickly while digging into our lives in Los
Angeles.
Thank you, Pascal and Lainie (and your children) not only for your hospitality,
but for taking the time and initiative years ago to build a small sanctuary
where others could come and share in the paradise you had already discovered.
Of course just looking next door we can see how the island has changed,
but within the walls of this artful little house while staring out at
the sunset from the gorgeous beach, we find some comfort in knowing that
places like the Island pearl exist - and we can come back. Abrazos.

honeymoon couldn't have been more perfect. The electricity went out on
the last day, but the air conditioner broke at our wedding, so it seemed
very fitting. Thank you for taking care of us while we were sick too!
but the beginning of our trip was the most perfect. Calming, laying on
the beach, snorkeling, eating an early dinner and having my husband beat
me at gin! We will definitely be back. We learned much about marriage.

The Island Pearl is built wih the land and not against it, making it stand

To those after us: - the canopy tour is a blast. It was 35$ US. We walked
up the hill/road behind here to get there. About 15 minutes and not for
the faint of heart. - if you snorkel to the out edge of the popular area
off Tabayana, you'll see a nice group of crevices and a drop off. - if
you prefer a cab driver who drives slow, look for Hector in 376 - Sueno
del Mar under Eagle Rays has a nice selection of cigars - forget six flags,
or any amusement park just hitch a ride by boat to Coxen Hole with Pascal
instead...and hold on!

What a splendid place to spend our honeymoon! The cabanas at Island Pearl
are so unique and beautiful... a true oasis amidst the rest of West Bay.
The artwork is fantastic! We had a wonderful time...morning snorkel sessions
afternoon reading and people watching on the porch, evening water taxi
rides and dinners with the sunset, midnight storms...yeah we had a good
time... Pascal and Lainie thank you for your hospitality and for keeping
it real. thanks also for helping us treat our various stomach problems.

on the Internet. What a terrific choice we made- West Bay is serene, romantic

lost wedding ring while diving (man's) but Lainie and Pascal were more
than accommodating in helping with problems, We will never forget our

Your place is certainly the gem of the paradise. Your lovely garden is
so cool and relaxing. We enjoyed basking in the tropical breezes on the
porch - we even had a lil' crab that nightly visited us. We had a great
time seeing our lizard friend. The upstairs room was prefect - opening
the windows and turning on the fan - we slept like babies (who needs A.C.)
We also enjoyed being able to prepare meals - we had a wonderful time.

You are a "wonder woman" amaxing to keep so many balls in the

I deliberated for quite some time on where to go on honeymoon and after
spending some time trawling throughthe internet decided that Island Pearl
sounded perfect. I must say that staying here has not only met but exceed
our expectations. The beach cottage was superb, tastefully decorated and
very comfortable. Nicky and I spend evenings out on the patio sipping
wine and watching the sunset through the trees on the beach. We thoroughly
enjoyed the diving and the snorkeling just a stone throw away from Island
pearl was superb. You have a little piece of paradise here and we both
pray that it will stay this way for many years to come. We have had a
honeymoon that we will never forget and hope to come back to Roatan and
Island Pearl again. Merci pour tout! C'etait parfait...a bien tot!

We loved the paintings. Such a restful peaceful spot. We came in a storm
and left in blaring sunshine. West Bay and Roatan have really surprised

A wonderfully decorated and comfortable house, great shower, and what
trees! Truly an ideal Roatan resort experience. I will definitely recommend
your place to anyone I can make listen. I will corner people at parties
and bore them at summer bar- b- q's talking of Island Pearl, right on
the beach, such white sand and blue water, heaven on earth is what I'll
tell them, that's right, heaven on eath is what I'll say. Then I'll tell
them about that horrible gringo just ruining beautiful Roatan, cutting
down the very trees that make this paradise, oh isn't it terrible, and
they'll say it just goes to show what a sad state the world is in. My
friends will all agree, and will one and all boycott Centry 21 real estate
for at least one year and will make a point of staying at Island pearl
both for its luxury and for it's combination of ecological and social
responsibility, because that's the kind of friends I have. Thank you from
all our kids, thank your kids for the generous loan of all the sand toys
during their stay here, Isis thanks you for the wonderful show and Edwin
for the comfortable beds and hammockes. (He never slept so much in his
life as the last day) When it was stormy and I was bored instead of sleeping
I just hung out and wrote stuff down. We love you all and love Roatan.

of the best we've seen! Loved your buildings, garden and many extra touches
in the architecture, Pascal fantastic job! We look forward to a return
trip for sure. Can be a busy beach but this is a jewel...private, more
peaceful, shady, and friendly. The construction site was not a major problem.

This was a lovely vacation for our family. My 2 boys got to spend quality
time with their beloved grandmother, and all of us enjoyed each others
company away from the pressures of everyday life. For this, the setting
could not have been better. Our 11 year old son fulfilled his dream of
becoming a certified divier, and our 8 year old boy was enthralled by
the coral reef fish and other creatures he saw while snorkeling. thank
you lainie , Pascal and family for preserving this bit of paradise specially

Another wonderful vacation in the haven of "Island Pearl"! So
many treasures to cherish...
-Relaxing in the "tree house" (as I call it!) - the delightful
terrace room upstairs off the bedroom - the island breezes waft over you
and soothe all your cares away.
-Family evenings on the patio, playing cards together or swaying in the
hammock, absorbed in a good book.
-"chattering"in a sign language and smiles with Marvin and Carla
-Perfect, leisurely diving with Lee - floating, drifting amongst the turtles,
the clouds of blue Tang as the Eagle Ray soars majetically by - underwater
magic at it's best.
-Catching up on all the news, and putting the world "to rights"
with Lainie and Pascal, playing and dancing with Olivier and Emilie -
how charming they are, and how quicky they are growing!
May joy and delight keep close to your hears, - until we meet again.

the best part of the Island. We wish we could have seen this place 20
years ago or fourty...!
The Island Pearl cottages are lovely - such delicious Caribbean colours
and local art work, we quickly became immersed in a tropical, magical
world. We enjoyed the snorkeling - the swimming was fantastic. The evening
sounds of the surf and wind in the palms was sooo realxing.

Dear Lainie & Pascal, for our honeymoon, my wife & I wanted to
find a speical place. We could have gone anywhere in the world, but it
had to be tropical, beautiful, and peaceful. My wife did most of the research,
spending almost one year to find the perfect place for us. We didn't want
to be imprisoned by the schedule of a cruise ship or touring company.
We certainly didn't want to travel with the herds of people that are like
ants at a picnic. We wanted to enjoy each others company. The people and
the culture of an island. Upon our arrival, we knew we had made the best
decision. Island Pearl welcomed us like a breath of fresh air. As soon
as we entered our cabana, we both exhaled every bit of stress we had.
Pascal your design and art work is world class. It was like experiencing
another dimension. lainie, I know that you were very concerned that the
construction next door would upset us. Don't worry about it. You offer
so much more that it is a minor nuisance. Your guests should not hesitate
to spend time at Island Pearl. We enjoyed swimming with the dolphins but
we were especially amazed when you took us out on your boat and we swam
with the whale sharks. Being in the water and watching those 40 foot fish
glide past you was surreal. Thank you for taking us to snorkel the wreck
at Palmetto Bay. It was an experience that we won't forget. The best part
of our trip was spending time with you and your family. Typically, we
prefer solitude on our vacations, but you opened up your home and your
hearts to us and treated us like VIP's. It's difficult to describe your
passion, personalities, and charm on a website - so let us tell people
how special that you made us feel on our honeymoon. The two of you are
the pearls of Roatan island! * we loved the tuna tartar at les bucaniers!

Lainie and Pascal, we finally actually made it to Roatan and it was worth
the wait! the weather was just perfect, the beach is perfect for swimming
and snorkeling and if it weren't for the front-end loader next door, it
would have been downright peaceful! It was very enjoyable breakfasting
on the covered patio each morning, listening to the sound of the gentle
waves crashing and seeing the crystal blue water through the palm trees.
The diving was abolutely incredible and the sites were so close by we
could dive nearly each day and still have time to enjoy lounging on the
beach, snorkeling or going to West End! The staff at the dive shop were
great and really helped to make our diving experience one of the best
ever! The island of Roatan and it's reef are so beautiful. I hope the
developers don't ruin it all! Best of luck to you and perhaps we'll see
you again next year.
