Lila and family, Muchas Gracias! Our stay at Island Pearl was wonderful,
world class resort, excellent hosts. Snorkeling was great. Fishing was
outstanding. I caught many barracuda, Jacks snappers and yellowtail. We
cooked up some in our cabana and it was delicious. Weather was a little
off but I wanted to come during peak fishing and we got a lot of rain.
We rented a car and drove all of the drivable roads on the island. We
went to Jonesville on Sunday and took a water taxi to Hole in the Wall
restaurant, a must do activity! I wish we would have come about 5 years
earlier then maybe we could have afforded the real estate - we looked
for a lot but the developers beat us. We are looking forward to coming
back. God bless you for preserving a piece of paradise.

This, our second visit to Roatan and Island Pearl, was for our honeymoon.
As before West Bay provided us with clear blue skies and fabulous snorkeling
everyday. Lila was a wonderful hostess welcoming us, chatting, giving
us a list of good restaurants and calling them to find out if any were
closed, and arranging a rental car for us that was delivered to and picked
up from the Island Pearl. It couldn't have been more convenient and was
excellent price. We loved the beachfront villa again, spending many hours
sitting on the porch under the ceiling fans reading and looking at the
white sand and clear blue waters. We'll be back!!

We were on our honeymoon. It started out with the lights out but by the
next day Lila quickly provided us with candles and a flashlight. The power
never really went out only late at night. We love the quiet setting, the
trees, beautiful white sand, and air conditioning. We did have a roommate,
a baby gecko ;-). Thanks to our tour-guide, Cheyenne, who took us snorkeling
and to the canopy "Gumbalimba" Park. Oh! Don't forget little
Lakota too. Bring sun block and bug spray. We had a wonderful time.

Dear Lainie and Pascal. Thank you for such a wonderful trip! It is so
amazing to leave the cold winter snow and arrive in a hot really really
nice paradise! Airplanes do amazing things! We are so sad to be leaving
but feel so lucky to have had this chance to shop, snorkel, sunbath and
explore. We really enjoyed everything but probably top 2 was horsebackriding
and the Gumbalimba park.

I'm in paradise here at Island Pearl. The view from the porch can't be
beat. It is absolutely gorgeous here. this is the most relaxing vacation
I have ever experienced. The snorkeling is wonderful. Having the dolphins
swim into the bay was truly amazing. I was able to grab a mask and snorkel
and swim right up to them. Having them swim within 10 feet of me was wonderful!
I will never forget this experience. p.s. I love the artwork.

This is the most relaxing week I have had in years. Thanks for your hospitality
on this gorgeous beach in Roatan. I think morning is my favorite time
here, sitting on the porch and watching the sun slowly turn the water
to aquamarine. No tv, no phone, no computor, this has been a great escape.

When I think of paradise, it will be your wonderful Island Pearl on the
most beautiful beach. Today we swam with dolphins in the bay. The baby
stayed close to mom and dad but what a treat when they swam right up to
us. The snorkeling is some of the best I've ever experienced - saw some
parrot fish, barracude, eagle rays and squid awesome! Your beachfront
villas offer the best view on the island and your staff is friendly and
work hard to make us comfortable until next time!

our patio in Cabin #3. We spent many afternoons in the hammock watching

Lainie & Pascal, thank you so much for a wonderful week in roatan
at the Island Pearl! We truly enjoyed the fabulous beach and the snorkeling,
swimming etc was all superb as well! You are definitely the best place
to stay on the entire beach. With that I must say it is a shame the cruise
boats bring in so much garbage, I mean this litteraly and figuratively!
They would be our only complaint. The villas are perfect for every relaxing
moment and with the beach only steps away there really is no need to go
so far! This is such a perfect place for both family and friends we will
definitely return! When we left Colorado it was -15 F so we are all not
looking forward to the remaining winter ahead! But you have provided us
with a week of wonderful warmth, laughter and the much needed relaxation.

The water here is wonderful - no current, calm and gorgeous coral passages
and white sand. Scuba diving at the hole in the wall was beautiful - at
120 feet down winding through narrow tunnels of coral it seemed to be
only 30 feet deep because of the excellent visibility. We saw a juge (6.5
feet) green moray which is the largest I've ever encountered in my 175+
dives and decades of snorkeling and skin diving. Here off the beach we
saw lots of sea life: 3 black/white striped 3 foot long eels (not morays),
A 4.5 foot long nurse shark, several medium sized lobsters, an enourmous
black and white spotted eagle ray (5 foot wing span), several smaller
sting rays, a big octopus, who turned white to blend in with sand as we
dove down to investigate, many small flounders and several medium sized
barracudas. Snorkeling at sunset was a great time to see the rays and
the water was delightfully warm. So the water was perfection, but on land
it was not! So many people and so much noise. The beach towards West End
is littered and it amuses me to see "Keep Roatan Beautiful"
on the construction signs which of course is contributing to the opposite
a congested island. If you two make it to San Fransisco please look us
up.

We are sorry that we didn't know about Island Pearl. It is a beautiful
place. We stayed in one of your houses which it was very nice and spacious.
I love the decorations all around the house. I thought my kids wouldn't
have a nice time here but, they really enjoyed playing in the garden.
Therefore a TV or a swimming pool wasn't necessary.

that Island Pearl is the most beautiful place to stay (as if you don't
already know that ...:) The dinner was superb and we will return to London

As we sip our last cup of coffee on the verandah we remember the great
week we had here at Island Pearl. Our family of thirteen spread out in
the three homes enjoyed the sun, the wind and the rain. Coming to Honduras
has been a great experience, learning about the different cultures, trying
new foods at Las Rocas, and Bite on the beach, but the best meal by far
was our dinner with Pascal and Lainie. As Pascal and all the men in our
family prepared the fish, lobster and shrimp we all took time to enjoy
the beautiful island and new friends that we have met. Then as we departed
for bed a storm came blowing in and we all woke up to a 41 foot sail boat
on the beach Wow! What a sight. Another adventure we had was swimming
with the dolphins. That water was crystal clear and you can see the dolphins
skimming through the water, then all of a sudden they are right in front
of you begging for kiss, this is a must see! So as we get ready to say
good-bye our children with pink cheeks, braided hair and toothless smile
(lost first tooth here) have created memories that will last them a lifetime.
And the adults have enjoyed the beautiful island, the new friendships
and the wonderful family time we all created. Pascal, Lainie, Olivier
and Emilie thank you for the wondefrful time and great memories.

Island Pearl was everything we had hoped it would be. We wanted an uncrowded
place where our family of 5 could enjoy the beach, relax, snorkel and
dive and we did it all here. We didn't take advantage of using the kitchen
much but found enough options for all of us at the West Bay restaurants.
Our favorite overall was the Bite on the beach for good food and the outdoor
atmosphere (the kids really enjoyed watching the eels) the highlight of
snorkeling was seeing a 4 foot barracuda but we really enjoyed seeing
the other aquatic life and coral as well. Our stay was great and the kids
had a great time playing in the courtyard with the other family that was
visiting.

Il est des choix que l'on ne regrette pas. Certes, les guides vous donnent
plein d'infos sur les hotels mais personne ne vas decrire le plaisir de
boire un verre de vin le 31 decembre avec Pascal et Lainie. Merci pour
votre acceuil et la beaute de vos cabanes. Bravo pour ne pas avoir baisse
les bras devant les gringos et les moustiques.
Votre hotel est mgnifique, la vue que j'adore, je crois que
ca va etre dur de la quitter.
Tel un valeureux galois des temps modernes, resistant a l'invasion
barbere des "betonneurs", voila Pascal et son Island Pearl,
chaleureux, acceuillant, grace a sa french touch. Toute tropicale! No
